Am I still alive? Let me check… 1, 2, 3 - inhale, exhale. Yep, still breathing, still alive, guys! Hahaha. Welcome me back -- prettier, sassier, and still not rich enough to buy unlimited coffee. But hey, improvement is improvement, right? Whahahaha. Haters gonna hate, but my glow-up is free entertainment.

So, this picture? Taken right outside my “fancy” hotel room. And by fancy, I mean just a normal hotel that probably has seen better days. Nothing special… except this giant, colorful… flower? Or is it a tree? Honestly, it’s too big to be a flower, but too pretty to be just a tree. Let’s call it a flower-tree hybrid. Problem solved. 😂

What blows my mind is how flowers in Vietnam bloom like they’re on a 24/7 happiness contract. Bright, colorful, unapologetically alive. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile, it’s like it’s saying, “Chu, stop being dramatic, just smile and live.” And I’m like, “Flower, I’d love to, but have you seen coffee prices on Grab?” No help there. Poor me, haha

Sometimes I catch myself just standing there, staring at it before I even leave the hotel. Then the owner comes over, speaking super-fast, and shes like kwjfwbfkwbfwfbwdwfwertyuiop? -- no idea what she’s saying. 😂 With my “magic translation” skills, I figure out she’s asking, “You, okay? You want Coca?” And I’m thinking, “Susan, I don’t have problems, I just like your flower-tree!” Still, how sweet is it that strangers check on you, when sometimes even your own relatives don’t? Maybe they’re just busy… or maybe I really am unapproachable. LOL.

And here’s the reflective part: I’ve learned to give my care to people who appreciate me, who are present, and who don’t need a DNA test to show up for me. The rest? Byeee. Call me savage, call me petty, call me a flower-tree with attitude --but at least I’m still blooming. 🎕💮

I may not be into pink (seriously, not my thing), but this flower-tree? It’s different. It makes me laugh, it makes me reflect, and it reminds me to keep smiling-- even on my worst days. Because if this tree can keep blooming endlessly, so can I. 🌸
